The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Los Angeles Chapter advocates for the needs of African American women and girls in the areas of Health, Education and Economic Empowerment at the city, state and national level. We address public policies and intervention. We inform public officials about our concerns personally, in writing campaigns and Official White Papers. We support policies that address racial/ethnic and socioeconomic disparities on behalf of African Americans. We advocate for increasing women candidates running for political office. The Commissioners workshop focuses on providing women in the community with how to become a Commissioner, the qualifications needed, and the duties involved in the job.
